Like... half my ideal budget insane. and well more than I planned for a dress or anything..
And that was before the cost of food or drink...yipes.
Can anyone recommend a cool old hall, or cafe that would do an awesome casual wedding maybe?
Surely I don't need to spend more than a $1k (!!) on just venue hire??
How many people? Sit down dinner or cocktail-style? I've probably still got my short list of reception venues in a drawer somewhere. We aimed for 100 people sit down and I think we got catering, wine and AV equipment in the package.

ReplyDeleteWe're still mulling over the type, though we're erring towards either a sit down lunch or a high tea/afternoon tea deal. (I like the latter idea, but its dependant on the location).
High tea sounds AWESOME. Alas, all the places I can think of that do that kind of thing are here in Melbourne :(
ReplyDeleteWe were looking at 100 or so people, so most of my short-listed venues will probably be too big/expensive. If any massive inspirations strike I'll let you know.
